Because of my very bad cough, I had to delay meeting the newest addition to the family until Sunday when I was less of a communicable disease hazard. But I guess having to wait sooo long makes the meeting all the more sweeter ;o)
Caleb is such a precious little bundle. Such a small little boy...then again ALL babies are sooo small when I compare them with Janine NOW. lol. To think she was ONCE as tiny...ahhhh...the nostalgia!
He is also a VERY sleepy baby. Most of the time we were trying desperately to rouse him from his deep slumber. The poor boy...he must think we are a bunch maniacal adults. Tsk! Tsk!
Well, Janine was VERY excited about meeting her new cousin ;o) She was babbling "Cay lub! Cay lub!" the whole of Saturday and Sunday. When she finally met the dear little baby, all she wanted to do was to either pat him (sometimes TOO enthusiastically for comfort) or try to plant kisses on the sleeping boy. There was even an occasion where she wanted to carry Caleb (who was then comfortably snuggled and sleeping in his papa's arms) and place him in the infant car seat.
Maybe at this point in time she thinks he's a doll that moves and makes sounds involuntarily. Maybe that's why babies intrigues her. In any case, methinks she will make a great big little sister one day ;o)
