I can really see how much my little girl has grown over the last few years.
Here she is at her FIRST Christmas...
Just a toddling little thing who was enraptured by the glitter-dusted balls hanging on the tree. She couldn't be bothered with the presents and showed nary an interest to even shred off the wrappers. Her parents were the ones instead tearing the wrappers off exclaiming in exaggerated tones at the gift uncovered in the hope that she would at least totter over and SEE what she got. Picking the biggest golden ball and "catching" the flashing lights were what intrigued her more.
Christmas NOW
We had to make sure she doesn't rip off the wrappers BEFORE Christmas! As long as she sees anything under the tree that looks like its a present, she will badger me over whether it belongs to her and whether she can open it now now NOW! It took A LOT of persuasion! Oh she is STILL very much intrigued by the Christmas tree ornaments. She keeps dismantling the ribbons and streamers and dances with them. The gold and red baubles were similarly plucked from the branches and made to become "eggs" or whatever befitting her imagination. Anyway, here she is having the time of her life tearing off (FINALLY!) the wrappers of presents after presents on CHRISTMAS DAY (yes, I am adamant that Christmas presents can ONLY be open on or after but NEVER before Christmas. That's MY tradition! Hohoho!)
To all who have so blessed our little girl with more than she can ever need or want, THANK YOU and a blessed Christmas and New Year to you!
